Some days I smile just to get through,
Though no one knows what I’ve been through.
I hide my fears behind my eyes,
And say I’m fine with quiet lies.
In my 20s, but feels so old,
With dreams so big, and nights so cold.
Study, work, and plans to make,
So many roads, I fear the way.
I watch my age move far ahead,
While I’m still fighting thoughts in bed.
They seem to shine, they seem to fly,
And I just ask myself, “Why?”
The days move fast, the years don’t wait,
I’m scared I’ll lose before it’s late.
I try to build the life I dream,
While hiding cracks no one can see.
And every night, when all is still,
I face myself and lose my will.
Then morning comes smile once more,
And say “I’m okay, like days before.
