It was October 2024. Nothing special, honestly. I was just watching television like every other day. It was my gap year, so life felt a little frustrating—everything was so fixed, dull, and a tiny bit depressing. But hey, it was the month of festivals and my birthday, so October at least tried to be a relaxing month for me. That day, I saw his post that my school friend had shared.I really like people of my age with great brainiac . And randomly ,very randomly,I sent him a friend request. A couple of days later, he accepted. but to be honest, I had already forgotten that I even sent him the request. Typical me lol. We didn’t talk at all after he accepted. Then on October 17 we went for a movie night. I shared the pictures on Facebook, and that’s when he finally replied, asking, “How was the movie?” And that’s how the plot twist of my boring October began.
We started talking, and honestly, the biggest plot twist was… I didn’t even had a profile picture. I was never active on social media. I’ve always felt people get way too crazy about some app instead of focusing on their real life. So, yeah,no DP, no profile, nothing. To be honest, at first I thought his account was a scammer account. I never told him that, obviously. But after some time he shared his picture with him celebrating dashain , and I was like, “Okay at least not a scammer .” Relief unlocked. But still, one question kept bothering me how can someone be so extroverted and talk so randomly? I am one of the most difficult and boring person to vibe in text. The more he talked, the more curious I got. Like, who is this human with endless energy?
i mean, I can be friendly. I actually love interacting with new people their ideas , thoughts , energy flowing and all that. But texting? Sharing my personal things on chat? Yeah that has never been my personality. My fingers always freeze and still does .
